Even though USB 2.0 has a very high rate of data transfer, it will not be fully utilized any time soon due to limitation of current Internet (speed) infrastructure which does not allow the speed to exceed 1Mbps of data transfer. USB 2.0 will become mainstream when the infrastructure to support high-speed internet service is supported by the Internet Service Providers (ISP).
